- Learn How to Camp and Choose the Best Gear -
Outdoor Comfort
Backpacking has its challenges. Hiking many miles into wilderness means that everything you need to survive needs to be on your back. You may be tempted to take everything including the kitchen sink, but there are size and weight constraints that will limit your mobility or range, based on your load. It is important when planning a backpacking trip to know exactly where you are going, how many miles, how many people, and how many days you will be gone. That will allow you to plan a gear checklist of what to take. Essential items include food, water, shelter, sleeping bags, clothing, first aid, and other outdoor gear. A good scale will allow you to weigh each item to determine if it will come along.
If there is room in your pack for other things, a few comfort items might make the backpacking experience more enjoyable. For me, a camping chair is a must. There is nothing better than being able to sit in a chair at camp after a long day of hiking. This comfort item always comes along with me, but it needs to meet a few specifications. First, it needs to be collapsible. It also must be lightweight. I don’t have a lot of room to spare, so when I shop for lightweight camping chairs, they must meet these specs.
Camping requires many different pieces of equipment. One of those being a tent. You can try the coleman tents home page and see if anything looks good. It might not have what you are looking for, but you might get some good ideas on where to go next.
With a comfortable chair, you'll also need a pair of comfortable boots, I suggest you to read this guide:
